Monday Measurements Day 50 OMAD

The honesty numbers ....

Weight: This week my weight has rumbled along with no real change until today ... but the math behind watching the average is logical and sane so I'm setting aside the temptation to say "yeah" for today's number and sticking with the average: 0.28 pounds. So Day 50 has the gift of being down 9.7 pounds since starting OMAD/IF and 80+ pounds overall with plants.

Measurements: Body re-composition is where it's at this week in my journey. Overall down 1/2" over six points where I'm measuring. Can I do a little happy dance on measurements for just a moment...

What's down in measurements...
Day 50 Change Since Day 1 of OMAD
Neck 1/4" 1&1/4"
Chest 3/4" 3"
Waist 1&1/2" 2&1/2"
Hips 0 3"
Groin 0 1"
Thigh 3/4" 2&3/4"

Observations:

While Plant is my jam, I still had IR. I started my journey in 2017 and lost 70+ pounds by eating whole food, plant based. Good for the heart, brain, yada, yada ... but I've got fat & skin that just won't go. Didn't take rocket science to sort I'm still insulin resistant (IR) even with all the plants. So, I dug into studying autophagy (PubMed, Dr Fung, Mattson, Dr Herring, Pilon & Gin Stephens). The science convinced me and so OMAD (20:4) commenced 50 Days ago.

RA Pain. No improvement beyond the amazing results from going plant based. I did sit a lot this week with long hours at the computer for work. So I drug out the balance ball and am sitting on that again. I suspect my body has so much healing in store via the gently slow autophagy process that it's going to take a long time. It's ok, I'll wait for it.

Honey's Funny: This week Gary (married 36 years) was making pizza and had two crusts. One big and one small. He said, "Do you want some plants on the small one?". I said, "I'm pretty hungry, what if I want the big one?". He snorted, "Why? So you can eat 1/2 of it and throw the rest away?". I just smiled and said, "Yeah, the small one is perfect." Enjoyed an amazing mini pizza with leftover roasted veg and balsamic vinegar dusted with non-dairy cheese. Delish.

Dizzy: I've noticed lately that I get dizzy easily. It's not a walk around & feel dizzy. It's the roll over in bed and the whole world swirls. Have checked my blood pressure, it's fine and in the healthy low range. I'm searching through if it's my electrolytes or what. Drinking mineral water again and that seems to help. Honey who is retired from medicine thinks I should go to the doctor. I'm pretty sure I won't like their pill form solution ... so researching and might take some labs.

That's all for this week in the measurement & numbers department. #Fast on.

Day before shopping...

Greens, pea microgreens, sauerkraut, carrots and chickpea noodles. A little balsamic for a dressing. Sounds weird but tasted good. #emptyfridge
